About us
CrewOn AI builds crewai.work, a workplace where people and AI Crew work together on the same org chart, in the same services and within the same permission boundaries. People assign work and decide, and AI Crew prepares and reports within allowed scope.
People make the important decisions; preparation and execution happen with AI Crew
Our mission is to build a work environment where AI works as a member of the organization, not as a helper feature inside a tool. Our vision is to let any organization work by assigning tasks, getting reports and having people decide. To get there, we start from one workplace and design it so every task moves forward with records, within the scope the company sets.
We apply the same principles to the product and to running the company
The principles below are already written in our terms of service and security guide. We check them first whenever we add a feature.
- People decide
- High-impact work such as sending outside, approvals and deletion goes ahead only after the responsible person checks it. People always make payments.
- Only delegated scope is used
- AI Crew acts only within delegated scope, not with a person's full permissions, and we keep human identities separate from AI Crew as an acting agent.
- It stops when things are unclear
- We don't allow requests where the organization or permissions are unclear, or work with no feature or connection contract behind it.
- We tell it as it is
- We label service status as Available, Beta or In preparation, and don't publish unverified certification badges or availability figures. We don't downplay incidents or declare them resolved before confirming.
- Organization data belongs to the organization
- Users and organizations keep their rights to the content they upload. The server enforces data boundaries for each organization, and we don't sell personal data.
- Not tied to a model
- We treat the language model as a swappable reasoning engine. We design it so the organization's rules, knowledge, integrations and controls carry over even if you change the model or build one in-house.
Milestones
- 2026.06Platform operations foundation launched We opened the platform repository and, the same day, put a service entry foundation with authentication, encryption in transit and organization boundary policies into production.
- 2026.06First work service connected We chose the already running CrewAI.Mail as the first service to bring in, and began opening work services such as Drive on the same sign-in and organization.
- 2026.07AI Crew connection and unified mail entry We began linking a Crewon.ai organization when a Workspace is created, opened video meetings, and moved webmail to the same sign-in path as the other services.
- 2026.08Pre-launch access limits applied During launch preparation, only approved organizations can use Workspace, and the screen says so plainly.
