New words, explained simply
These are words that often appear in the crewai.work guide and screens. If a word is unfamiliar, check its meaning and an example in this table.
Words and meanings
Examples are based on Ondam Living Co., a fictional company.

| Human Crew | The people in your company. They hand off work, check it and decide. | A purchasing manager, a customer support team lead |
| AI Crew | AI members who join the org chart as teammates. They work only within the permissions of the person who handed off the work. | An assistant AI Crew that compares and organizes quotes |
| Assistant AI Crew | An AI Crew that is assigned to one person and helps with that person's work. | The assistant of one purchasing manager |
| Staff AI Crew | An AI Crew that does a team's work together with several responsible people. | The support AI Crew of the customer support team |
| Responsible person | The person who hands off work to an AI Crew and is responsible for it. | Two support agents responsible for the support AI Crew |
| Workspace | Your company's place to work. Data is kept separate for each company. | The Ondam Living Co. workspace |
| One sign-in (SSO) | Sign in once and use every service with the same organization and the same permissions. | Opening Approval while still signed in from Mail |
| Role × service permission table | A table in the Admin console that sets which roles can use which services. Personal exceptions are added only for the people who need them. | Opening Mail, Messenger and Drive for the "Product planning" role |
| AI Crew command window | The chat window with AI Crew at the top of the screen in every service. The same conversation continues whichever service you open it in. | Hand off work from the Mail screen and get the report on the Calendar screen |
| Today brief | A report from the assistant AI Crew at your first visit of the day, listing what to take care of today. | Today's supplier meeting, an email about the delivery date to answer, 1 approval waiting |
| My assistant page | A screen that brings together your work with your assistant AI Crew. You see today's to-dos, work you handed off, confirmation requests, email and events. | Checking whether the quote comparison you handed off yesterday is done |
| Follow-up question | When AI Crew asks a person for missing information before it starts the work. | "Which should I put first: care instructions or delivery time?" |
| Human check | The step where a person reviews the content and decides before AI Crew goes ahead. | The responsible person approves the reply email to the supplier |
| Confirmation card (decision card) | A card that shows work needing a human check and lets you choose whether to approve it. | A "Send this reply?" card |
| Activity record | The record of what was done, and by whom or by which AI Crew. | Checking who approved sending the reply |
| Memory tab | A screen where you see what AI Crew remembers and remove memories you don't need. Removed memories can be restored within 30 days. | Removing the memory of an event schedule that has ended |
| Crewon | A separate platform (Crewon.ai) that runs AI Crew and keeps what it remembers. Your company's rules and materials also stay here, so they still apply after you change the AI model. | The rule "Spending over 100,000 won needs team lead approval" stays after a model change |

| What it can do | The tools AI Crew can use and the range of work it can take on. | Finding, summarizing and drafting email |
| Blocked by company rules | When AI Crew cannot do a piece of work because of a rule your company set. | An email AI Crew cannot send because of a "No sending outside" rule |
| Unified search | Finds Mail, Calendar, Approval, Drive, Meeting, Messenger and HR materials by source with one search term. Only materials you are allowed to see appear. | Finding emails and approval documents together with "mug set quote" |
| AgentHub | Where you look at AI Crew you could work with through resume-style profiles, try them out and then hire them. | Comparing profiles of AI Crew for support work |
| Workflow | An admin screen where you bring in proven work procedures, make your company's own version and add human check steps. | Adding a cost review approval step to the launch checklist procedure |
| Approval line | The line in Approval that sets who approves a document and in what order. You set it by choosing people from the org chart. | Purchasing manager → purchasing team lead → CEO |
| SaaS | Sign up, create your organization and start using it right away. It runs on the crewai.work cloud. | Teams that want to start quickly |
| On-premises | Installed inside the customer company's own server environment, with the scope set through consultation. Data and records stay inside the company. | Financial and public institutions that need a separated network |
| Separated network and closed network | An environment where the company's work network is separated from or cut off from the outside internet. On-premises is meant for this kind of environment. | A public institution's work network separated from the internet |
| Beta / in preparation | Beta means a feature you can use now but that is still being refined. In preparation means a feature you cannot use yet. | AgentHub (beta) |
