Home is the first screen of your company's workspace. You can choose a project home or a widget board home to fit your team's work. Unified search finds materials across email, events, approvals, Drive, meetings, Messenger and HR at once and shows them by source.

When you need it
You want to reset a launch schedule, but the supplier quote is in email, the schedule talk is in Messenger and the approval document is in Approval. You have to open each service and search the same words again.
Type "mug set quote" into unified search once, and results from email, approvals, Drive and Messenger appear together, grouped by source. Click a result to go straight to that email or approval document.
Deciding what to look at first in the morning is work too. Home gathers what your team is working on onto one screen, so it becomes your starting point for the day without opening services one by one.
How it differs from general work tools
Results from email, events, approvals, Drive, meetings, Messenger and HR appear on one screen, grouped by source. You do not go into each service and search for the same word again.

Working with AI Crew: an example
An example from the fictional company Ondam Living Co. It is preparing to launch the "Ondam mug set," a new product for fall.
The product planner first checks the "Ondam mug set" launch status on the project home.
The planner types "mug set quote" into unified search and finds the supplier emails, the quotes in Drive and last season's cost review approval document together.
The planner attaches the quotes in the command window and asks for a comparison. The assistant AI Crew summarizes the differences in unit price and delivery time by supplier and reports back.
The planner reviews the summary, decides which supplier to negotiate with and then submits the cost review approval for this product personally.

Does search show other people's emails or approval documents?
No. Search runs only within the permissions of the person who is signed in. Materials you cannot see do not appear in results.
How is unified search different from ⌘K quick find?
⌘K quick find finds services, coworkers and AI Crew and takes you straight there. Unified search finds content inside materials such as email, approvals and Drive, grouped by source.
Can I move home widgets where I want?
Drag-and-drop widget layout is in preparation. For now, you choose between the project home and the board home with 8 widgets.
